I came to software from economics. As an analyst I taught myself Python, noticed it was the part of the day I looked forward to, and slowly let it take over the rest.

It is still the kind of work where I lose track of time. These days that is mostly backend and AI systems.

Outside work, I am learning traditional joinery at a workshop in Brussels. I am still bad at it and enjoy it anyway. I also have a garden that grows more than two people can eat.

I recently got into game development, and I am making a tower defence game about the siege of Messolonghi. It is half built and I will probably never finish it.
